Dr. Frank Isik is a skilled and nationally respected plastic surgeon who brings the highest specialized training to your personal care, including ten years of training after finishing medical school followed by more than 12 years of clinical practice experience.
Dr. Isik received his education in New York City with a BA from Queen's College and his MD from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He completed a 5-year General Surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center, a two year National Institutes of Health research fellowship followed by a 3 year Plastic Surgery fellowship at the University of Washington. After finishing his training in 1995, Dr. Isik was recruited to join the faculty at the University of Washington. Dr. Isik was promoted to Professor in 2003 and trained many plastic surgery residents before leaving to join The Polyclinic.
Dr. Isik is Board Certified by both the American Board of Surgery (Certified in 1991 and Recertified in 2001) as well as the American Board of Plastic Surgery (Certified in 1997 and Recertified in 2007). He serves as an examiner for the American Board of Plastic Surgery annually to examine young plastic surgeons who wish to become board certified.
Dr. Isik has been selected by his national colleagues to serve as an Associate Editor of the preeminent journal for Plastic Surgeons, The Journal of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Isik has received numerous national awards for his work in the field of Plastic Surgery, including National Institutes of Health awards for his research, national recognition for his clinical contributions and has published 47 original articles and three textbook chapters in the field of plastic surgery. Over the years, Dr. Isik has focused his clinical practice to two areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery: breast reconstruction and cosmetic plastic surgery.
Dr. Isik is honored annually by numerous local and national publications as one of "The Top Doctors in Seattle" and repeatedly included in the "Best Doctors in America".
